Rosemary Doherty (Derry) will have operational responsibility for Praxis Care mental health and learning disability projects in Derry and Fermanagh.
Rosemary joined Praxis Care in December 2015 having worked in care and support services for many years in the NHS, Charity and Voluntary Sectors. She started off as a Nurse in London and worked with very young people in West London. Rosemary has also been Head of Care for The Leonard Cheshire Foundation in Dublin.
For the past 25 years Rosemary worked in one of the Top 10 Housing Groups in the UK. She had various roles in this Company as a Registered Manager with CQC in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. She is a MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) instructor and has delivered mental health training to various groups with the emphasis on decreasing the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental health.
Rosemary is passionate about all citizens being included in society and being given opportunities to live the life they want and to reach their full potential.
