Praxis Care celebrates 30th Anniversary of Volunteers Week

Praxis Care Volunteers got involved in special events to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Volunteers Week in Northern Ireland.

Volunteers from the Derry Befriending Scheme attended an event at the Guildhall in Derry to celebrate Volunteers Week along with lots of other volunteers from other charities in the North West.  This event was organised by North West Volunteer Centre.

Volunteers and staff from Magherafelt also attended an event at Stormont on the 5th June to celebrate the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.  This event included representatives from organisations who have received this award including Praxis Care, Praxis Care received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for the Befriending Programme in 2006.
