LACE UP AND SIGN UP FOR PRAXIS CARE MARATHONS AND BE IN WITH A CHANCE TO GO TO PARIS!

Praxis Care, a charity which provides services for people affected by mental ill health, learning disability and dementia are asking individuals and groups to take part in a range of marathons in 2010.

All individuals that raise over £99 will be entered into a draw for a trip for two to Paris.

The aim of the campaign is for individuals to get fit and raise valuable funds to help support vulnerable children and adults affected by mental ill health, learning disability, acquired brain injury or dementia.

Marathons featured include:

  • Belfast City Marathon –  Monday 3rd May
  • Dublin Women’s Marathon –  Monday 7th June
  • Isle of Man – Sunday 8th August
  • Great North Run, Newcastle, England – Sunday 19th September

Geraldine Andrews Fundraising Officer says;

“The Praxis Care Lace up and Sign Up Marathons Challenge is a fun and healthy way to support the work of Praxis Care. Whatever your level of fitness is, there is a section to suit everyone from running or walking to team relays.

Once you sign up a pack will be sent out to you which will include a T shirt, self help sheet and a sponsorship form.

We have set the challenge so people can take part in marathons in the own areas reflecting the fact that Praxis Care provides support throughout Ireland, UK and the Isle of Man.

At the end of 2010 we will have a draw from the people who raise over £99 and the lucky person will get a trip for two to Paris including flights and accommodation.”

To sign up for the challenge simply email your details to geraldineandrews@praxiscare.org.uk alternatively visit the Praxis Care website www.praxiscare.org.uk. or phone 00 44 28 90 234 555.
