Praxis Care recently opened a new day care services for adults with intellectual disabilities in Clongriffin in North Dublin. The new facility will offer valuable programmes for 17 adults with intellectual disability, autism and complex needs.
The new Praxis Care facility at Clongriffin, North Dublin was opened by Finian McGrath Minster of State for Disability Services.
Praxis Care, registered as a charity in 1983, is a major provider of services for adults and children with an intellectual disability and mental ill health, with services throughout Ireland, UK and Isle of Man.
Natalie Creevey, Manager of Praxis Care, North Dublin Day Care Services says:
“By opening this new service in Clongriffin, Praxis Care will provide vital support service to service users in the North Dublin area.
We have worked in partnership with service users, their families, local building contractor Gannon Homes, HSE and Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) and a variety of local agencies to set up this new facility to meet the needs of people with intellectual disabilities to develop skills to live independently in the community.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved and especially our staff team for their dedication and commitment to developing this exciting new scheme over the last year.”
