Praxis Care Sponsored Read It!

Praxis Care organised their first ever Praxis Care Sponsored Read It! Campaign in October 2011 in line with World Mental Health Day (10th October) and Children’s Book Week. The campaign was supported by 13 schools in Northern Ireland with approximately 1,400 children being involved and has raised over £13,000 to date. Children and young people were asked to read as many books as possible in return for sponsorship from family and friends.

The Praxis Care Sponsored Read brought benefits to pupils and schools as it encouraged pupils to read books, increased literacy skills while raising awareness of the importance of looking after your mental health.
