Involvement to Date
The Steering Group that is tasked with designing the service user and stakeholder surveys is comprised of both Praxis Care staff and service users.
This year has seen a much greater involvement of service users in the survey processes. A significant number of individuals have indicated that they would like to become peer interviewers, who will be recruited and trained to assist in face-to-face interviews with other service users as part of the 2010-11 survey.
Service users have been involved in the Steering Groups of specific research projects, such as the recently completed evaluation looking at a number of day care services.
Other service users have been involved in similar research projects, carried out by Praxis Care, through the completion of questionnaires and interviews as part of service evaluations.
Further Opportunities
The Research Department is keen to identify and develop a team of individuals who can assist them further in the various projects that take place throughout Praxis Care services.
