The Courtyard, Crumlin – Thank you Garden Open Day (Friday 20th July 2012)

“The Courtyard, Crumlin – Thank you Garden Open Day (Friday 20th July 2012)”

The Praxis Care Supported Living Houses at The Courtyard, Crumlin have recently undergone refurbishment thanks to the generosity and hard work of many volunteers.

The gardens have been transformed so that the tenants can enjoy peaceful afternoons and lazy weekends enjoying BBQs in wonderful surroundings.

Many organisations helped transform the gardens and the Manager, staff and tenants held a Garden Open Day to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone that helped.  Volunteers included individuals from The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Open Doors Learning Centre and individuals from the Secret Garden in Hillsborough.  Tesco Crumlin donated funds which went towards new furniture for the gardens and providing refreshments for the Open Day.  A workshop called “New Style Furniture” run by “Mindwise” in Magherafelt, designed and built 2 garden benches with the Tesco funds.  Tesco Community Champion, Jackie Mitchell also spent a great deal of time helping tenants renovate existing furniture.

The Courtyard Tenants would like to repeat their massive thank you to everyone concerned, but can someone now please sort out the weather!!’
