Will you take the Valentine’s Diet Challenge for Praxis Care in 2011?

Praxis Care a charity which provides services for people affected by mental ill health, learning disability and dementia is running a fun sponsored diet campaign for St Valentine’s Day 2011.

The sponsored event will run from Friday 7th January to Friday 11th February 2011 throughout Ireland, Isle of Man and the UK.

The aim of the campaign is for individuals to lose some weight and raise valuable funds to help support adults and children who suffer mental ill health, learning disability and for older people including people with dementia.

Geraldine Andrews Fundraising Officer says;

“The Praxis Care Diet Challenge is a fun and healthy way to support the work of Praxis Care. Once you sign up a pack will be sent out to you which will include a diet sheet, self help tips and a sponsorship form.

You will then have the responsibility of weighing yourself every Friday morning and will be asked to send your progress so you can be in with the chance of winning one of the weekly prizes.

Each week the individual who has lost the most weight will receive a fun Praxis Care Hamper. An overall prize of ‘Dinner for Two’ will be given at the end of the campaign to the individual who has raised the most funds.”

To sign up for the challenge simply email your details to geraldineandrews@praxiscare.org.uk alternatively visit the Praxis Care website www.praxiscare.org.uk.
