Bethany de Legh-Runciman has been attending the Star Club: a club run by Praxis for people with mental health problems since it opened it January 2005.
Formerly Bethany Clague, Bethany is a well known and inspirational sports figure on the Isle of Man, having run over 80 Marathons and is the only person to have completed the Parish Walk twice: walking 170 miles non-stop in 47 hours and 22 minutes. She has represented the Island in ultra distance events, and raised over 15,000 for charity through her efforts. Bethany has achieved all this in the face of chronic health problems.
Bethany began running in 2004 after being inspired by the London Marathon and runs to combat stress and bi-polar mania.
More recently Bethany has been suffering with her physical health yet is determined to go on and complete more events.
