Five Praxis Care service users from The Hub, Drogheda have been won the prestigious Gaisce – President’s Awards (Bronze).
The individuals were Maria Mulvin, Cormac Corboy, Donal Durnin, Kevin Nolan and Chloe Tallon, who are all service users in the Hub, Drogheda.
To win the award, all five had to undertake 13 weeks of Community Involvement, Physical Recreation and Personal Skills as taking part in a residential.

“Each of the service users attends The Hub day care in Drogheda on a full time basis Monday to Friday. Each has a diagnosis of Autism and Intellectual disability as well as complex needs. For many of the group staying away from home, particularly without family was an immense achievement.”
Gaisce – The President’s Award is a self-development programme that encourages individuals to find their passion, get active and make a difference in the community! Gaisce is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland to young people aged 15-25 to dream big and realise their potential.
