The service users at Foyle Young People Services took part in a 16 week group work programme with headliners. The young people created a very honest and inspiring film called “One Step at a time” in which they shared their personal journey and experiences of living with mental health issues.
The aim of the film was to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and highlight that there is support out there in the hope that they could help others.
The young people spoke really positively about the support that they have had whilst living at the Foyle Young People’s project and about their time on the step down service.
The project helped develop confidence and practical skills in film with some young people completing an OCN level 3 in film.
