Praxis Care has a long standing reputation for excellence with a high demand for services and as part of this the organisation is currently going through an exciting time of change and growth.  We currently have sites across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, England and the Isle of Man offering Services to individuals living with mental ill Health, learning disability, acquired brain injury or dementia and will be expanding these services both in size and location over the next few years.  We currently have 1,400 dedicated and committed staff which is due to increase to approximately 4,000 over 5 years.

Support Worker  

39 hours per week

£8.20/£8.35 per hour, £16,630/£16,945* per annum pro rata – Unqualified Rate

£8.50/£8.65 per hour, £17,238/£17,553* per annum pro rata – Qualified Rate

24 hours per week

 

Higher rates include a lead in payment of £315 per annum pro rata. Rate based on working 39 hours per week and dependent on qualification. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.

 

Forest Lodge, Portadown is a very sociable scheme where the residents like going out and about in the community and every day is different and tailored to facilitate the individuals’ needs and preferences. A typical day may involve accompanying residents to football matches or concerts, going on walks, playing special Olympic ten pin bowling or golf, attending tech classes or supervising family visits. Your role would also involve providing assistance with personal care, cooking with residents, and assisting them to learn new skills. All the work completed within the scheme is to try to empower the service users to become more independent.
