Julie rejoined the Praxis Care team as Head of Care for the Isle of Man, although having worked for Praxis Care previously she is familiar with the ethos of the organisation and this was a contributing factor to her return.
Julie has worked within the Social Care field for 20 years in both the voluntary and statutory sectors on the Isle of Man. In that time she was involved in managing and developing day services, including a social enterprise, as well as Respite services for adults with a learning disability.
Throughout her employment Julie has managed resources to support the provision and development of appropriate services for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, acquired brain injuries and dementia.
Her most recent post prior to Praxis Care being a Regional Registered Manager for a charitable trust in North Yorkshire overseeing Supported Living provision for people with a Learning Disability.
Julie has developed person centered integrated approaches within the schemes she has overseen and she firmly believes that this approach has to be central to achieve the highest quality results for the people using the service.
