“Positively Supporting People with Intellectual Disability and Autism whose Behaviours Challenge – Building the Right Supports”
Friday 10th November 2017
Respond Housing Association Conference Centre,
Grace Park Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
A significant programme of reform is underway in Disability Services as people are encouraged to receive their supports and services locally in their own community. While this programme of transformation is leading to new services and supports and better outcomes for people with intellectual disability, it is not without its challenges for those with complex additional needs.
This conference will look at these challenges from the perspective of the person, staff members and family carers. We are pleased to have Vivien Cooper CEO of the Challenging Behaviour Foundation UK as keynote speaker, Patricia Ricarde Clarke, Chairperson of the National Safeguarding Committee and other key people working in this area will contribute to the discussion.
As there is no charge for this conference, we ask you to register your interest with Clodagh Conlon, Praxis Care, Ardee, Co. Louth at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 041 6871904 to allow for lunch and seating arrangements.
