Praxis Care Befriending needs volunteers like you!
Anyone can become a Befriending Volunteer, becoming a listening ear for someone who is feeling lonely or isolated as a result of their mental ill health will make a huge difference to both you and the person who you are matched up with.
All it takes is having an hour or two spare each week to make a difference.
Volunteers meet up regularly to go out for a walk or a cup of coffee, to go out shopping or to the cinema for example. By being a friend we can help reduce negative feelings associated with mental ill health and bring a sense of enthusiasm and energy, building a friendship which will have a lasting positive impact.
