Praxis Care Operations and Development Liaison Group hold Journal Club at May Meeting

The Praxis Care Operations and Development Liaison Group in Republic of Ireland have commenced a Journal Club at their May meeting.

Journal Clubs are an effective way to share good practice and discuss evidence based interventions and can be added in as an agenda item at existing meetings. The May meeting looked at a ‘Randomised Controlled Trial’ to evaluate if staff training in positive behaviour support is clinically effective in reducing challenging behaviour in community intellectual disability services in England. The results were surprising and the study came to some interesting conclusions.
