Graham McCormick (Newtownstewart) in full stride trekking the Ulster Way to Gortin,
Praxis Care supporter Graham McCormick raised over £500, while showing his rare determination and high fitness, in completing a marathon trek of 32 miles and 4100 ft of ascent in 13 hours, along the western section of the Ulster Way, from Sloughan Glen in Drumquin to Gortin.
Also taking part in the walk with Graham was his cousin’s fiancé Daniel who was raising funds for Arthritis Ireland.
Graham McCormick commented:
“We were greeted at the finish-line by our families and friends. It was an absolute pleasure to do this trek for Praxis Care and I hope the sponsorship raised will help assist some of the services they provide to adults and children with learning disability, mental ill health, acquired brain injury and for older people with dementia”.
Paul Collins (Assistant Director – Communications) said:
“Graham has exceeded his own expectations in completing such a long and difficult trek, which must have been very tough indeed. I congratulate Graham in completing the trek. The example he sets in raising funds for Praxis Care, and his belief in himself, is inspiring for all our supporters as well as for staff and service users”.
