Praxis Care Foyle Floating Support Service and Supported Accommodation Service for individuals with mental ill health have recently signed up to a ‘People at Risk Partnership Agreement’ with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS).
The aims of this partnership agreement are to:
1. provide additional fire safety advice to people at risk for the mutual
benefit of both organisations.
2. reduce fire deaths, risks and injuries in the homes of people at risk.
3. improve partnership working for the benefit of both organisations.
Within the terms of this partnership agreement the NIFRS undertake to provide a free Home Fire Safety Check (HFSC) to every referral from the partnership agency, within 28 days of the date of referral. These HFSCs involve a visit to the home in question to offer detailed fire safety advice and to ensure that the home is fitted with a working smoke alarm. In addition the NIFRS service within this agreement includes ‘Talks to Groups’ where detailed information is delivered on how to stay safe from fire in the home.
Praxis Care very much welcomes the generous input provided by the NIFRS within the terms of this partnership agreement.Share with ....
